Dr DAVID WARD
Integrative Veterinarian & Veterinary Acupuncturist
Registered Veterinary Surgeon of NSW and member of Association of Australian Veterinary Acupuncturists
I am excited to be able to treat your beloved family member and thank my referral veterinarians for trusting me with their special patients!
I have gained many years of experience in many areas of Veterinary science, from Zoo medicine to large animals and finally to small animals where I have practised for over 20 years. This balance of veterinary work is quite appropriate for the study of Veterinary acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine which ultimately aims to balance the body.
After gaining a Bachelor of Agricultural Science and Masters of Science in Veterinary Science research degree from University of Sydney, I earned my veterinary degree from Murdoch University in Western Australia in 1998 and gained my Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Acupuncture from the College of Integrative Veterinary Therapy in 2019. I am one of only a few graduates worldwide.
While working in the Northern regions of Sydney (lower North Shore and Northern Beaches), I will travel to your home or vet clinic and treat your pet in the comfort of their own local environment. We can work together by assessing the health of each pet and their current health management. By an integrative approach, an appropriate individualised plan is developed for each animal to effectively provide the ultimate quality of life. Many pets with mobility issues benefit tremendously when they do not have to travel. Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine principles combined with Western medicine will aim to Rebalance Life.
